Tile Installation & Waterproofing (The Technical Core)

- Waterproof showers: Schluter KERDI, LATICRETE Hydro Ban, or Custom RedGard membranes—installed to manufacturer specs, flood tested, and photo-documented. Proper slope (1/4" per foot), pre-pitch, and seam detailing per TCNA B422/B421.
- Large-format tile (24×48+): Substrate flatness verified (≤1/8" in 10'), C2-rated thinset, back-buttering, and lippage control per ANSI A108.19. Every install includes movement joints and perimeter expansion.
- Backsplashes: Precision outlet cutouts, clean terminations, and caulked transitions (ASTM C920)—with layouts optimized for visual balance and code compliance.
- Floor tile: Uncoupling membranes (DITRA, Stratamat) for wood subfloors, movement joints at all changes of plane, and full thinset coverage. Grout sealed with premium penetrating sealer.
- Heated floors: DITRA-HEAT, SunTouch, or NuHeat—installed with GFCI protection, ohm-tested at every stage, and programmable thermostats. All work documented for warranty and code.
- Shower niches: Prefab foam (Schluter, Wedi) or site-built with full waterproofing and positive slope—eliminating future leaks and mold risks.
